How do I clear a mini 512 mb memorex travel drive?

My son borrowed it and I do not know how to tell if it is full or empty. Have never used it before. Any way I can tell, without downloading his stuff on my computer?How do I clear a mini 512 mb memorex travel drive?
So you want to know how to find out how much Data there is on you're Memorex External Drive?





You will need to have it connected to you're Main CPU unit via the USB cable and have it plugged in at the mains and switched ON.





If you have a Window's PC you will have to do the following things:





Start%26gt;My Computer%26gt;and locate the icon on that page that may say ';Local Disc J:\'; (Or what ever letter it may show up on you'res they are all different.)





Note:';Local Disk C:\'; is the PC's main hardrive,..so ignore the others,..and have a look for any other item that says ';Local Disc ___';)





Double click on it with you're Mouse, and it will open up to show what stuff have been stored on it.





And look to the left of the page under the title that says:';Details'; as it will tell you how much space you have left on that Drive in total,..and what has been already used.








Here's an example for you below:





File System; NTFS





Free Space: 298 GB





Total Size: 320 GB





EDIT:





I forgot that you want to clear it!





You will need to right click on each icon you see in the Memorex hardrive to highlight it,..a box will come up,and click on the one that says:';Delete';





It will immediately get rid of it.





Do this to all the Icons,..to completely clear the Hardrive so it will be empty.
