Is there a way to clear your information from your traveling records?... Immigration officers driving me crazy

Hey! i made a mistake 2 years ago of buying a one way ticket to usa ( i am canadian) because i was not sure if i wanted to spend christmas over there or not. I wasnt aware at that time that we were not allowed to do that.. Anyways so they stopped me and kept me there for hours questioning me. I go to the states often because i have my boyfriend , and friends there, so everytime i go i get stopped and questioned, they never belive that i will come back to canada even thought i bring proof that i have a life here. But eventually they let me through.. it is just so time consuming and sometimes scary that i have to go through that everytime i travel..

Question is.... am i going to have to do this for the rest of my life everytime i go to the states?? or is there something that could be done to erase everything?? Let me know! ThanksIs there a way to clear your information from your traveling records?... Immigration officers driving me crazy
You are probably going to have to do this for the rest of your life...or at least every time you go to the US. Purchasing a one-way ticket made you look like you were planning to stay illegally. You will probably always be under suspicion.

However, as you WERE innocent, your explanation is apparently accepted each time. I know you feel ';inconvenienced'; but unfortunately we do things unthinkingly that have unintended consequences. This is one of those time. Because there are just so many people who DO intend to overstay -- innocent people like yourself end up paying for their dishonesty. It's a shame, but a fact of life.Is there a way to clear your information from your traveling records?... Immigration officers driving me crazy
just tell then that you drove back (assuming that is what you did).

but yes USA is paranoid and yes you may be constantly questioned about this every time you cross over.

solution - do not cross over.
Do you have a passport? I know we in the US now need a Passport to go to Canada (it used to just be a birth certificate).
