We're moving to our new house in Katy, TX on Oct. 1st. I'm hoping someone can tell me if the roads are all cleared yet - the major highways, at least? We're coming from IL, will we need to bring water in with us, or is water available now?Traveling to Katy, TX - are roads clear? Water available?
You'll be fine coming in. Most of everything, power and water, has been restored in Katy. The roads are clear. I assume you'll come in
from I-45, to Sam Houston Tollway, to I-10 into Katy. It should be smooth sailing. You're going to love Katy! Traveling to Katy, TX - are roads clear? Water available?
It is ridiculous clear! The majority of power/electricity has been restored and it seems business as usual. I'm always out and about in the newer Katy/ Cinco Ranch area and the water is fine, we still have plenty of fuel/gas stations are up and the local area HEB grocery stores are well stocked. This part of Ft Bend County experienced some problems (ie power outage, but very little). Good luck and have a safe trip =)
All the major roads are definitely cleared (I believe they weren't even blocked in the first place) and all the water lines should have the right pressure and working.
roads are clear and yes there is water available in the area. Be glad you missed IKE, have a safe trip.
I'm pretty sure the roads are clear, because if they weren't, I would have heard about it from my mom.
